Turning off the life support. Bike Pirate wins hands down and are doing everything I hoped to do plus more - a happy rider is a smart, informed rider!

For trip planning info:

For trail reports:

The only things they don't have (yet) is info on which trails clear snow first in the Spring, which trails dry out fast after rain or where the locals are heading for their top picks!!
For the missing info join a trail works day and speak to local volunteers. As a bonus you'll get that inner glow that comes with putting some love back into the great trails we're so lucky to have on our doorsteps. Also, don't be shy - post trail reports to their site and report conditions, fallen trees or other trail issues. Lastly when using their trail info remember to consider when the last report was posted and what has happened weather wise (on the trail, not in Calgary!!) since.

Happy trails!!

Tis the season to be jolly!!

Trail conditions starting back up soon. Here's some teaser early season vids:

Slushy Sulphur (rework coming soon)

A Good Friday (MTB Invermere, Ski Panorama)

Only one weekend to go at Pano so last chance for a 'BC special'. Or go one better and squeeze in MTB ride, Ski AND a round of golf at Copperpoint - now that would be cool!!

Ranger Summit South

The MTB trail fairies have finished building Ranger Summit South (Sugar Mama down to Fullerton).
Here's some pictures of the trail and views:

Bobcat is only about 20m long (to a viewpoint - second picture) and Fullerton is no bikes so its just an out+back add-on to something like the Witch loop (for now). Please be extra courteous to hikers on this trail - until Bobcat is built the official maps are confusing on bike access.

Razor's Edge is for pussies...

Well compared to the shit these guys are riding anyway...
Where the trail ends
If you can't afford the heli-drop or simply a mere mortal then RE still pretty intense..
Razor's Edge
